Are the leaked Samsung Tab 3 10.1 and 8.0 good enough.

Samsung has not yet disappointed us with their slick elegant worthy tabs and phones and have flagged themselves as the best smartphone brand of 2012 and expected to do the same in 2013. But let’s not play all of our chips yet! Greek tech site Techblog.gr discloses that they have received leaked information of the two newborn tablets; Samsung Tab 3 10.1 and Samsung tab 3 8.0. Not surprised to say, Samsung is planning to release these babies in two versions, one in 10-inch and the other in 8. Samsung has already done this before with the Mega smart phones, so this isn’t big news for the Samsung fans out there. Rumored to come out in May-June, these tabs are leaked to such a margin that the important specs are revealed and we can judge by them how good these tabs are. So, let’s start scoring these tabs by what we expected.

Are the leaked Samsung Tab 3 10.1 and 8.0 good enough

Samsung Tab 3 10.1:

I’m gonna start out with the punch line. It is unimaginable that this tab right here is nothing compared to its predecessor Nexus 10. The Nexus 10 is better in all aspects when compared to the 10.1 It has a better processor compared to the dual core 1.5 GHz processor of the 10.1, better camera compared to 10.1’s 3mp rear camera and 1.3 front camera, and better resolution compared to the 1280×800 display of the 10.1.

But all of this is worth considering the remarkable battery boosting of 7000 mAh. Again, not much to say about the RAM and OS, the RAM is unfortunately just 1GB and will be running Jelly Bean 4.1.2 instead of 4.2. So the users can all kiss goodbyes to heavy high end gaming and designing important heavy presentations. But it’s nice to slightly balance it off with available 3g and super fast LTE.

A picture (courtesy of techblog) of the 10.1 is also leaked but it is very difficult to figure out the form and design as it is overly pixilated.

Samsung Tab 3 8.0:

Although this tab is rumored to come out as the Robin to the Batman 10.1, I believe that this tab has more potential in excelling. Everything is same as the 10.1; the difference between these two is only battery, RAM, and the 8-inch to 10-inch size. We’re going to leave the last one out and continue to talk about the rest. The 8.0 has 2GB RAM, this is a major booster for this version of the tab as people will prefer buying the faster, compact and more efficient tab over the sloppy larger one. But the users who have to survive long distances without power have to go with the other one because this one only has a 4500 mAh battery.

Conclusion:

coming towards the end, I’d say that the tabs are close to disappointing, if these rumors are true, the only thing that can change the disappointment into gladness is the price; If the price is tagged according to the tabs, the users will at least consider buying the tab 3. The main weight that dragged these tabs down is there processors. If Samsung could put in quad core or oct core processors, it would be a lot better and could’ve grabbed attention. Besides, if they can put it in a phone, why not in a tab?
